New book

Postby GeoffDann » Fri Sep 09, 2016 11:30 pm

This board seems to have come back to life! :)

I guess most people already know this, but just in case you don't, I have a book coming out next month. This website is listed in the resources, so some more traffic might turn up. The book is a 512-page paperback covering the most important 320ish edible, poisonous and very common species in temperate and mountainous zones in Europe. The aim is to encourage responsible foraging. Quite a few species are included for the sole purpose of telling people not to pick them (anywhere in Europe). Some others are included even though they are too rare to warrant picking in the UK because they are considerably more common elsewhere in Europe.

Anyway...it goes on general release from October 20th, although I will have copies available a couple of weeks earlier if you'd like to buy one directly from me (at RRP of £20, no postage).

Discount code new book on Fungi Foraging, released on October 20th! 35% off, P&P free, best deal you can get. If you are interested, please don't by this book on Amazon, buy it from the author or straight from the publisher.

This is the most comprehensive book on northern European fungi foraging ever published. It covers 320 of the most important edible and toxic fungi, over 512 pages of nearly-A4. The current market-leading book (John Wright's) covers 72, over 256 pages of A5. Wright's book retails for £15, the new book is £20 (and you won't get it cheaper anywhere online at the moment). If you'd like a signed copy then I'm selling them for £20 (P&P free), please email me at geoffdann@hotmail.com. But the cheapest option, by far, is to buy it from the publisher with the discount code EDIMUSH35%Dec2017. £12.99, P&P free, only until the end of November.
