New MANCHESTER Fungal Group

Hello fellow fungal friends!

Over the coming few weeks the final touches will be being put on the formation of 'Manchester Mushrooms'. The group aims to meet every 2 weeks during the main fungi season and monthly at other times of the year. A database has been created so we can keep track of species found in the Greater Manchester area and newsletters will be produced with latest sightings and other articles.

The Manchester Mushrooms group will work under the already established Manchester wildlife website (www.manchesterwildlife.com). At present the website is being rebuilt to accommodate the mushroom section but you can see the latest sightings on the forum on the website.

Will keep you informed of all progress.

Just to keep you up to date with the Manchester Mushroom Fungal Group (MMFG), the website has finally gone live and can be found here;

Also the groups first outing is in search of 'Midnight Disco' Pachyella violaceonigra on Sat 20th Feb at 09:30 in Rochdale. All welcome.
