CATE data from the 'Home Counties'

One of the outstanding success stories for CATE data accumulation in 2010 has been in the home counties of Hampshire North and Surrey. At the end of 2009, this was virtually a 'dead zone' for CATE. How much a year can change things! The database now contains close to 50,000 records for the region, thanks to the growing band of recorders who have been delivering into CATE: Roy Betts, Julie Campbell, David and Jean Dell, Gordon Dickson, David Edington, Leif Goodwin, David McMahon, Jon Need, and others. If I've missed your name, forgive me and complain!

Well done everybody and keep up the good work. It would be nice to think that very soon we can generate Important Fungus Areas Maps for the region and get these out to other conservation agencies and landowners.
