Could anyone reccommend a book of the fungi of South America that is small enough to lug around Peru?

Would have thought anything on "Chile" which is part "High Andes" would be of use.BMS library list should indicate some of the long haul foray listings.Gordon Dickson said many were the same in each continent!

Hello,

there is a "Flora Mycologica Argentina Hongos I" and "... Hongos II" by Jörg Raithelhuber. He is working as a amateur mycologists in Germany (Stuttgart) and Argentinia (* Brasil, + Chile). I'm not too sure whether I realy should put you to his publications, As I have strong reserves about the consciousness of his work. He is working totally autistic without discussion with anyone. But it may be useful nevertheless. May be you can get your hands on them, or perhaps you want to contact the author Jörg Raithelhuber. If you google for his sirname and the town he lives (Stuttgart) you will get adress and telefon number. Don't know whether he has email or not.

best regards,
Andreas
