I joined in September and am disappointed with the level of posts and response to my posts.

Hi Mark
Sorry you feel let down by this forum. As far as I can see all your posts have been answered by someone. As for the level of posts I would agree that this is not the busiest of forums but there are interesting threads and I would certainly stick with it you can learn a lot from people on here.

I agree with Mal. Yes we could do with more users posting here. But what I can say, reinforcing Mal's comments, is that there are some very helpful and knowledgeable people on this forum, so there is a lot to gain. I've certainly gained a lot. Do be aware that you might have to wait a few days for a reply, people tend to check for updates on a daily basis, or longer.

I have a suspicion that potential new users do not like having to register and post under their real name, but that is a guess.

I think this site is excellent and I would rather have one or two very useful reply s by very knowledgeable people than lots of folks replying who do not have the depth of knowledge. I have always had a response to every post and photo I have put on and an identification too even if it is just to genus level, I think I have been on the site for three years but have not been active in 2014 and cannot wait to post my finds in 2015. I don't have a problem giving my real name on the site and cannot understand why people would object.
