The new ABFG forum

The free entry discussion pages for all aspects of field mycology

Introduction:

This forum is a new and important addition to the Association's website. It provides an unparalleled opportunity for ABFG members and other users to post threads about any aspect of fungi and field mycology that they choose. Text and images are accepted. Will all users, however, keep in mind that naming species from posted photographs is invariably risky and regrettably material identified in this way cannot be included in datasets unless it has also been determined through proper examination of voucher material.

First time registration:

Registration is free and open to anyone. However forum members are required toregister with, and use in postings, their normal identities. Pseudonyms are not permissable.

On the initial Board Index page of the forum there is a prominent 'Login -Register' panel beneath the list of forums. This is the login for existing members. To register for the first time look towards the blue bar at the top of the page and to the Search panel at the right hand end. Below this you will find a small instruction 'Register'. Click here, agree the terms of use and enter your details including a pasword of your choice. Submit.

All material posted to these forum pages, including images, is subject to copyright regulation. No material may be copied, published or otherwise distributed unless strictly for personal, non-commercial and non-broadcast use.

Postings which are found to include derogatory or insulting material, whether overt or by innuendo, and which are submitted for the purpose of commercial gain, personal criticism or vilification, whether of another user or a third party that is not a user, will be deleted and the facility will be permanently withdrawn from the originator of the material. If you feel that any posting falls into this category please contact Michael Jordan or whoever is acting as the forum moderator. The decision of the moderator shall be final!
