Thanks Chris. Basically a squash, add congo red, mop off the excess with tissue and pop on the cover slip. Nothing technical just pure pot shotting but proves that we can all have a go and have a chance at getting something half decent. Some species just don't work such as the ink caps for some reason so a new technique will be tested. The camera is struggling though - a bit old and knackered now but I try.

Dave, no I do not have a web-site for fungi (I do for my house in Switzerland) but I do intend building one.
I am experimenting with the structure that would best suite my photos (macro & micro) and am in the process of writing an access tool. Richard
